Download and use Texmod with the excellent Cartography Made Easy mod.
Use at your own risk and take any appropriate security precautions you feel may be necessary, etc, etc. |

Texmod like misterB suggested. it will change the color of the map fog and black out everything that cannot be mapped ;-). easy peasy, just have to do the legwork

Vanquish areas, as that will force you to run around.

This. Having numerous GRAMMs I can vouch that you will regret not vanquishing and mapping at the same time.
Take my word for it. Vanquish and map at the same time or else you're just doing a helluva crap load of a lot more work. |

Can only echo the sentiments stated earlier. I only Vanq and map at the same time now using Texmod with said cartographer mods. I do need to disable my virus scan for 10 secs to allow Texmod to load as it wrongly identifies it as a trojan, as soon as Texmod has loaded Guild Wars I switch my virus scan back on.

It shades black the area you can't explore and grey those that haven't been explored yet.

The illustrious "God ROCKING Amongst Mere Mortals title"! I highly suggest doing Vanquisher -and- Guardian (all missions + master's/bonus on normal mode and hard mode). Vanquishing with TexMod up will get you very close to 100% in Cantha and Elona, but Tyria will require a lot of scraping inside the gigantic mission areas. Why kill only two birds with one stone when you can score a triple kill? Good luck. |
